📖 the story…

  • at 17 josiah leming dropped out of high school to support his parents + 8 siblings

    • living in his car, he performed at clubs by night and worked in restaurants by day

  • josiah got his first break in an episode of american idol (warning: it’s a tear jerker 🥹)

    • despite not making the top 24, he landed a record deal with warner, released an album, but was quickly dropped after it flopped

  • he then moved back home (2011) and continued to grind as an independent artist, releasing music on his own and touring hard

  • in 2014, he changed his moniker to ‘josiah and the bonnevilles’, gained some momentum and signed to ‘yucatan records’ 🤝

    • he released two albums, and then was dropped in 2021

  • he had hit rock bottom 🪨 …again

  • josiah then moved to nashville alone, and began working as a bartender by night and amazon warehouse worker by day

  • after a short break, he said ‘f it!’ and started a patreon community where he began releasing his own music again

    • except this time - he was going to do it his way (no label!)

  • josiah leaned into tiktok in 2022 and struck gold doing folk renditions of pop songs like ‘anti-hero’ (taylor swift) and ‘ghost’ (justin bieber)

    • he paired this with masterful original singles which were embraced by his growing 📈 audience

  • 3️⃣ months ago, josiah made his emotional grand ole opry debut in the same city where he hit rock bottom and started from zero

    • a beautiful story of relentless pursuit 🫡
