📖 the story…

• amber mark was born to a Jamaican father and a German mother

• her youth consisted of a LOT of traveling 🛫 around with her “hippy” mother, including stints in:

  • 🇺🇸 miami, new york, 🇩🇪 munich, berlin and even a 4 year stay in a darjeeling monastery in 🇮🇳 india (where her mother studied Tibetan thangka painting)

  • “we weren’t staying in one place for more than two years”

• eventually - mark picked up the guitar (and joined her high school choir), which is where her love for music began

• she would end up back in nyc, working at a salon where she met michelle carter (sister of shawn carter…aka jay-z 🎙️)

  • michelle hooked mark up with an internship at roc nation (jay-z’s label) where she learned the business and started taking her music career more seriously

• in 2016 she put her first single on soundcloud (“space”) which started growing her following and getting her radio play 📈

  • she then released her first album 💿 in 2017, “3:33” - centered around the grief of losing her mother a few years prior

• 3:33 firmly put mark on the map, and she has since released her second album, ‘three dimensions deep’ in 2022

• rumors of her third album roll-out are circulating, due to her new single (‘comin around again’ ⬇️)
