📖 the story…

• jeffrey martin grew up in oregon and was first drawn to folk music while sitting front row at a josh ritter show

• soonafter he started playing guitar 🎸 while he was in college, and got his first break in eugene, oregon while opening for David Wilcox

  • this exposure started opening doors for him and allowed him to play gigs along the west coast

  • his warm voice and vivid storytelling abilities have earned him a loyal 👏following

• in 2014 - martin released his most critically acclaimed album to date

  •  💿 dogs in the daylight

• despite his moderate success, music was never a ‘full time’ possibility for martin

  • due to this - he went to get a master’s degree in teaching and became an english teacher 👨‍🏫 due to his passion for literature

  • martin says he loved his time as a teacher and it profoundly impacted his songwriting abilities

• he recently decided to go ‘full time’ with music, and quit his teaching career 🫡 

• he still lives in the portland area and has decked out a full camper van which he lives in with his dog 🐶 while he goes on tour

  • he just left on another tour and if you’re at one of the stops - you should check him out
